If you are a fan of Japanese authors, like Murakami Haruki, Murakami Ryu, Banana Yoshimoto and Murata Sayaka, then I think you'll find enough there to be satisfied. It's short and could be finished in a couple of days, I'd say. Nishino is obviously the same guy and some of his "loves" reappear in the chapters of others.
Something I am wondering now is if I was supposed to see more connections between the ten chapters. Why they all are attracted to him, I have no idea. He has numerous girlfriends (as the title suggests), yet whines and mopes, and also insults the women. Perhaps the main issue I had was that the titular character is somewhat annoying.
But I finished it feeling unsure what I'd just read.
It had that Japanese quirkiness I enjoy, and also the kind of random observations and descriptive phrases that caught my eye & mind.
